Former KYUSS Singer To Perform At 'Dance Music Awards'
March 5, 2004Former KYUSS vocalist John Garcia will perform live with THE CRYSTAL METHOD at "DanceStar USA - The American Dance Music Awards" on Tuesday, March 9 at Bayfront Park Amphitheater in downtown Miami.
Garcia and THE CRYSTAL METHOD will perform the track "Born Too Slow", which the current UNIDA frontman co-wrote and recorded with THE CRYSTAL METHOD for their latest CD, "Legion of Boom". THE CRYSTAL METHOD have been nominated for five "DanceStar" awards including "Best Act", "Best Album", "Best Single" and "Best Video".
Speaking to MTV.com late last year, THE CRYSTAL METHOD's Scott Kirkland said the recording sessions with Garcia did not get off to a great start. "He came in understanding just enough about us to be comfortable with what we do," Kirkland said. "But it took him a few hours to loosen up. Having a bottle of Jack Daniel's and two cases of beer in the studio definitely helped ignite that performance."
